Research Paper On Using Technology in the Classroom
There is increasing demand for the nation's school districts to adjust their curriculums to meet the needs of today's children, which are unlike any generation that have come before them due to the rapid changes in technology, which continue to occur. Lattery, Lemberger and Herzog (2002) point out that there is increasing pressure on US school districts to increase student scores on state, national and international standardizes exams. Yet, due to the incredible advancements of technology, the traditional practices of American classroom are no longer adequate for meeting the needs of today's students (Shousan, 2000). The following literature review examines the topic of technology use and instruction in the nation's classroom and how educators are meeting the curricular expectations that have been deemed necessary for the nation's future.
