Research Paper On OBSERVATION OF TWO CHILDREN DURING A PLAY PERIOD
For the first observation, the child in question’s name is Shondra (not her real name). Throughout this observation report, my primary observation activity was largely observational. On occasion I would interact with the child, asking her a question as to what this or that means, or something relevant to what she was doing. This incident took place on Saturday June 25th, between 12 and 12:30pm. The length of observation and recording intervals consumed approximately 30 minutes. The observation took place at approximately the same time (and same place) as he previous observational paper which this author undertook. The playing environment was a children’s playground equipped with play facilities such as monkey bars, sand piles, sliding ponds, ‘free’ areas for children to do basically whatever they wanted to, and there was a wide variety of space for the older bys to play, and soft grassy ground, sports of a somewhat rougher nature, as the play environment was gender integrated.
