Due to many negative influences, including the American Media teenage pregnancy has become an important problem in America. How to prevent this problem has been a question for many years. Statistics have been running wild trying to keep up with the teenage generation. Since 1972 the overall pregnancy rate among teenage girls rose 23%, sticking this generation with status of the most teenage pregnancies and births. Teens often fail to realize that giving life to a newborn child is supposed to be a privilege. Many teens take having a baby as some sort of joke. They believe it will never happen to them but the reality is, every time you have sex there is a possibility that the sperm will find itís way to the egg. It doesnít matter what day of your cycle it is, or if he pulls out just in time, or even if you use a condom, there is always still that chance of pregnancy (Lindsay, 2003).
