Field Trip Essays and Analysis of Five Paintings

For the purposes of this exercise, it was my decision to visitthe Metropolitan Museum of Art on 81st Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City. During my attendance, I noted that one key feature included Robert Lehman as well as a plethora of other genres, i.e. Japanese, African, Chinese, etc. I took this opportunity to peruse these various genres and make my observations. As a result, I was able to come up with what I believe is an eclectic range of paintings, as I shall describe. The genre that most interested me was the Asian. These were classified as Japanese and Chinese, although there were also some Korean and apparently examples from the Greater Pacific Rim as one descriptor did identify. Specific extractions shall be identified herein. To begin with, I should like to state that it was not only the paintings that caught my interest, but the furnishings and carvings as well.
