THE ANGLO-AMERICAN COMBINED BOMBER OFFENSIVE IN EUROPEDURING WORLD WAR II (1942-1945)
In point of fact, I believe that this specific bomber offensive which pervaded during the offensive in Europe and World War II lent relevance for many military bombing strategies throughout subsequent operations. These included the Vietnam War as well as the Arab-Israeli War, and I think to some extent even Desert Storm. The Mowbray Strategy/Process Analysis Model offers some principles which, as indicated, have and may serve as paragons for similar bombing exercises. At this point, I should like to discuss these essential strategic principles. The tactician and the understanding of same is an essential factor in evaluating the Mowbray strategy. The Mowbray Strategy/Process Analysis Model may be graphically constructed with the threat vis-a-vis national interests at the very top, to strategic or operational objective(s) at the bottom of this graph. In between political leadership/policy lay objective/strategy/strategic or operational objective(s). Herein lay the interrelationship of both the allies and the forced structure/military leadership/technology/doctrine. Overall, this graphical translation may serve as an essential paragon or parameter for military leadership and its relevance to political leadership, threat, and strategy. The preceding has been rather simply stated, granted. At the same time, it is useful for historical stratagem only. The meaning of the aforementioned, to me, is clear. In my view, and I shall expound upon this later in this research paper, strategy is a perspective which implies change and adaptability. The Mowbray Strategy/Process Analysis Model provides the military strategist with a plan of action. At the same time, it inherently incorporates the inclusion of other parties, i.e. allies. Example, one must query the role of any allies in the achievement of the war objectives. Will they influence the country under examination
