AN EXPERIMENTAL PLAN: BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES AMONGST CHILDREN
For purposes of this research and design, or
experimental plan, I have opted to turn my attention toward
troubled adolescents. For definitional purposes, adolescents
as well as children (pre-adolescents) shall remain the object
of this experimental plan. Throughout this section this
author shall be addressing the research question, hypothesis,
independent and dependent variables, and operational
definitions. The overall research question shall address
itself to a specific problem, or difficulty occurring amongst
adolescents and children in terms of their behavior. More
specifically, and as indicated by the literature, children
and adolescents' behavior in school. The specific problem
which this author has identified has to do with both unruly
behavior and swearing within the classroom.
HYPOTHESIS
It is hypothesized that unruly or troubled adolescents
may be assisted through the mode that is behavior
modification. Behavior modification is also referred to as
behavioral therapy throughout the literature, and it is this
mode, or instrument to which unacceptable individual and
social behavior may be remedied.
