Article Review, Software Development Study

Number of Pages 3

A 3 page summary of a research article on software development. Research has suggested that user participation in the analysis stage of software development will be more significant to the overall success of software development than user participation in the design stage. Most of this research has focused only on project team members and not on operational users whose work will be impacted by the system being developed. Wu and Marakas designed a study that explored the “impact of operational end user participation in two important stages of the system development life cycle,” specifically, the analysis and design phrases of software development (Wu and Marakas, 2006, p. 127).
