Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a very specific type of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy developed by Marsha M. Linehan to better treat borderline personality disorder (BPD). Linehan combined behavioral science with Buddhist concepts like acceptance and mindfulness to develop this model. Object relations theory is a variation of psychoanalytic theory but diverges from Freud's beliefs in many ways. Developed initially by Melanie Klein, it focuses on internal and external relations. Both models are discussed and explained. There are ninve sources used in this twelve page paper.
