Holistic Nutrition: Language

Number of Pages 3

3 pages in length. There is a fine line between educating, prescribing and diagnosing when dealing with holistic nutrition; inasmuch as education equates to guiding people to make their own choices based upon having the right information, holistic nutritionists perform as more of a conduit between the consumer and the products and/or services for which they have sought. To overstep stringent boundaries between educational and prescriptive/diagnostic language is to risk drawing an incorrect conclusion about the individual's health issue and thereby practicing medicine without a license. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
