Child Tracking Technology: Protecting Those With Cognitive Disorders

Number of Pages 6

6 pages in length. Maintaining the health and safety of loved ones is a primary component of the family unit; because children are more likely to wander off without realizing where they are until it is too late to find their way back, parents are extra diligent when it comes to keeping tabs on their kids. However, there are two other groups of individuals who pose a particular danger to themselves with regard to becoming lost or even abducted: the autistic and the cognitively-challenged elderly. Because of the incomplete grasp of their respective worlds, those with autistic and Alzheimer's cannot always help themselves achieve a safe return; as such, technology is now being used to track their whereabouts. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
