A strategic plan has been developed for Johnson and Johnson based on an assumed desire to increase revue and support better revenue stability. Strategies to start manufacturing marketing and distributing generic drugs and a strategy to develop improvements or changes to existing drugs in order to extend patents are both discussed. A plan to implement the latter is outline, including the general approach, tactics and milestones. The plan is developed for Johnson and Johnson, but may be applied to other large pharmaceutical firms.
