Troponin and Changes in Muscular Fitness During Deep Space Flight.

Number of Pages 7

This 7 page paper discusses the involvement of troponin with regard to the effects of zero gravity on muscle mass. There has been enough research done on the effects of zero G on human physiology that some effects are now considered commonplace, such as the partial atrophy that occurs, and which is also found to be commonplace in older earthbound adults. There has also been research conducted with regard to muscle mass as it relates to space flight with the aim of better understanding, avoiding or rectifying the conditions that can lead to loss of muscle mass with advancing age. There are 7 sources listed in the bibliography.
