The past molds and conditions us yet few of us have an understanding of women's struggle for equality. Beginning in the early- to mid-1800s, women were struggling for equal pay for equal work. Women united and formed national and international groups and even unions. In 1963, a special equal pay act was passed by the U.S. Congress yet, women still do not receive equal pay. This essay provides the highlights of the history of working women. There are three sources used in this three page paper.
