Poetry by Hardy and Eliot

Number of Pages 3

This 3 page paper compares and contrasts the poetry of Thomas Hardy and T.S. Eliot. The writer argues that both men had a negative view of society, but expressed their pessimism in different ways. Hardy's poetry is tightly structured but Eliot used free verse. The writer uses Hardy's poem Hap and Eliot's classic The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock to illustrate the points of discussion. The poems are the only sources listed.
